Specialist Surgeon

Dr Aaron Ndhluni joined the practice from the University of Cape Town / Groote Schuur Hospital where he was a specialist surgeon.

Aaron grew up in Harare and was educated at Prince Edward School. His undergraduate training was at the University of Zimbabwe where he graduated with honours. He achieved a distinction in Surgery and was awarded the Harry Wulfson Prize for the best student in Paediatrics as well as the Anglo American Award for the best overall candidate.

After completing his internship and senior house officer training at the Harare Group of Hospitals, he moved to Cape Town. He was appointed a registrar in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cape Town / Groote Schuur Hospital where he completed his postgraduate training, obtaining his FCS (SA). Following his appointment as a specialist surgeon at Groote Schuur, he developed his interests in Breast Diseases, Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology. He will continue in a part-time capacity at Groote Schuur where he is attached to the Breast and Gastrointestinal Clinics. Aaron will pursue his interest in breast diseases and gastroenterology in the private sector.

He has been instrumental in setting up the Breast Clinic at Kingsbury Hospital and is involved in the Kingsbury Hospital GIT Unit. He was recently awarded the Reach for Recovery Award in recognition for his contribution to promoting the awareness of breast cancer in South Africa.

He consults at the Kingsbury and Vincent Pallotti Hospitals. He is a Provincial board member of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and is a member of the Kingsbury Hospital Advisory Committee.

His interest is running. He runs for Varsity Old Boys (VOB). He is married to Thabisile and has 3 children, Rudo, Rufaro and Rutendo.
